Sherlock: Which one is better?
I’ve seen two different on-screen interpretation of Sherlock Holmes.
Sherlock, the TV show - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1475582/
Sherlock Holmes, the movie - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0988045/?ref_=nv_sr_1
Personally, I cannot decide . Even after 7 years , I’m still in a dilemma about which is the best portrayal of Sherlock -
by Robert Downey Jr.

or Benedict Cumberbatch

Psychologically speaking, the movie Sherlock, the tv Sherlock and the book Sherlock are almost same. They are extremely intelligent, brilliant at the art of deduction and dress immaculately.
They have a very keen understanding of body movements and postures (except for may be the BBC Sherlock).
Since the BBC show is set in modern day world, Sherlock relies more on technology for his deductions.
The movie Sherlock ( since it is set in the 1900s) is more sharp mentally, and deduces based on his vast knowledge and very keen sense of observation.
Both of them are the same, according to me, except for the crucial era differences and the added concept of mind palace in the new Sherlock.
According to me, both the actors are a pleasure to watch on screen and I am actually looking forward to seeing them in movies and future seasons of their respective franchise.
