Reading your handwriting : Basics
When I started thinking about writing this post, I thought that it’ll be a full-fledged 5-6 pages long post. Well, instead of doing that I’ll divide this into smaller parts. So here’s the first one in section of handwriting analysis.
Since it took me two weeks of one summer to learn this, I couldn’t put everything in one post. So before starting there are a few instructions or information that you need to know.
Before reading any further than this, take a blank piece of paper and write about a 50-60 word paragraph on a topic of your choosing. This will be your unbiased sample which you can use for analyzing your handwriting.
For the above mentioned paragraph, do not copy anything off a book or off the internet. Use your creativity to write something.
You must also know that this is sometimes not accurate as it is based on what your subconscious thoughts are when you are writing the above mentioned sample.
Being neat would not really hide anything while analyzing, so DO NOT TRY TO BE NEAT ON PURPOSE.
Everything mentioned or the traits may not be completely accurate but are mere generalizations done by psychologists.
Well, now let me begin. These are the basic clues that you should look out for whenever you try to analyze handwriting
Clue 1: Slant
Backhanded slant or leftward slant
The people with these slants are introverts. They are cold, reserved, indecisive and not straight forward. They mask their feelings, are hard to fathom and difficult to get along with.
Inclined or rightward slant
These people are extroverts. They are extremely emotional, passionate and ardent. They are very sensitive and readily express their real emotions and feelings.
Straight slant
The people who writes this way enjoys self- Ability for observation, reflection, reserve. They are indifferent, cold and distrustful. They may be proud individuals, cold or indifferent, since they choose to think before feeling
Unequal Slant
These people are of a changing personality, but with ability to adjust to the other´s state of mind. It could happen that the individual faces a duel between what he wants and what does not want, uncertainty ,desire and fear, which generates a great deal of anguish. Doubts, hesitation, uncertainties.
Clue 2: Baseline
Stable on the line
These people are firm decision makers. They are always logical and sometimes it is totally unreasonable. They are calm and are entirely sure about themselves and have reached to this level through a lot of practice and determination.
Rising
These people are extremely positive about everything in life and can be called “ happy-go-lucky “ personalities. They are pleasure to have around because they always manage to cheer you up because they are happy with their lives.
Descending
These people are negative and have lost control over life. They affect the people around them and might show psychopathic traits. They might be depressed, angry or frustrated.
Clue 3: Zones
This is one of my favorite clues that I love to look out for.
For this you need to understand the three aspects of personality: Id, Ego and Superego.
Id – the primitive instincts or the desires like the sexual drives
Ego- The realistic part
Superego- The conscience
Let me explain these three in words that anyone would understand. Consider a child who wants an ice cream. His id will tell him to go grab it. His superego will say that it is wrong. And the mediator, the ego will tell him that he can ask his mother to buy it for him.
So how is this related to handwriting analysis? Well let us look at the three regions of a sample:
The upper zone is for the superego. If the handwriting and the strokes are more frequent in this region then these people have a very strong conscience
If it is more frequent in the lower zone , then they are id – driven personalities.
And whose strokes are equal in both regions are logical personalities who have balanced desires and conscience.
Now, I would like to say that you have enough information to know about the basic traits of any person. For future posts I will be talking more about more clues and, psychopaths and compulsive liars if possible. So stay tuned. And looking forward to some feedback.
